Barbera red with chocolate interiour.
You might know that I have been thinking about getting an E61 25/30/35 d or i for quite some time. Right now I am just doing my homework, seeing how long which ad stays up until deleted (indicating a sale) etc... To get a feel for the market. Also browsing the forums for common problems and so on.
I am heavily limiting my options because the auxiliary heater, which was a factory option, is a must have. Think of it as the more sophisticated version of your remote start systems.
Most cars are black, some grey, there’s one car in Monaco blue with yellow leather and wood trim, niceeeeee! And then there is this:

I’ve had a few beers (bank holiday tomorrow) so I think it’s cool. But is it better than the black or blue car with the M bumpers I am actually looking for?

There is nothing wrong with that :)
I’d like to see the blue and yellow car tho!

Not my style, but I dig people who do combos like this.

My DD is a blue W212 with a brown (milk chocolate?) interior, something very unusual on this continent. I think the BMW color combo is also good.

You asked, Mansory delivers.

I usually prefer a chocolate brown interior on a white or blue car, or even a dark green, but hey, it works here too.

There’s what I can only describe as a purple allroad that has purple leather on the butts of the seats. It’s kind of hideous, yet cool.

I quite like the barbera red. That color combo is different and I like it because of that, I’m tired of the same black/grey/white cars. (Yes I realize my M3 is space gray metallic)

Red with brown can be an awesome combination, however that brown might be a bit too dark for my tastes. It’d probably work better if the colours were the other way around. Still a cool choice of the original owner.
Those are E61s are such great looking cars, my former boss used to have a black(blue-ish in sunlight) 530xd with orange/brown-ish leather and the M bumpers, that one really made me fall in love with E61s.

I like chocolate, but I don’t care for it with the red. It’s going to be divisive, which limits resale, but also might mean that you’ll get a better deal. So my advice is, if you like it, go for it. Just don’t pay the same as you would for a more traditional color combo.

That colour combination is outstanding!

Beautiful combo. Way more downmarket than yours, but the Mustang I traded in this year had the two tone interior with the saddle seats, always got compliments on it. Don’t know why all black or all grey are the only two default choices these days, a little color contrast really goes a long way.

I like it.

I was expecting Mansory fugliness like below, but that looks quite tame. Nice dark blue exterior with light beige interior.

Thanks. It’s an odd car, unusual color combo and options, special ordered by a sales manager who eventually couldn’t find a buyer.
I think black and dark grey exist for one reason - ease of maintenance. They hide dirt. These days when many people are lazy about caring for their car, it is important. My prior car was a MB with a very light grey interior, to the point that at least once a month I would clean the dye marks from jeans from the seat (Tex, so fine to scrub it a little). People with kids would destroy that interior.
Brown is a subtle soothing interior color, and whatever happened to blue interiors? Into the 90s they were a thing, then gone.

My 1984 Lincoln has a navy blue velour interior that’s perfectly color keyed to the blue exterior, I believe there were 8 total colors available that year, which could be had with any exterior color. I really miss variety.

My fintail is a sky blue with a medium blue interior, it works. Back in the day my mom had an 85 Tempo GLX with the fancier velour interior, both in medium blue (I remember the color name - ‘Medium Regatta Blue Metallic’) with an interior that was coordinated with it, and later a 93 Taurus in white with a blue velour interior (I called it a “government issue” color scheme :) ).
Color variety is definitely gone for mainstream makes. Honda might be the worst, sometimes only a few of each, and only in some combinations. The premium makes often have more choices, but you pay for it.
A couple years ago, I went to an estate sale with a blue on blue 84 Lincoln Mark VII - 65K mile (I think) car with a $2500 asking price, no doubt 2K would have had the keys in your hand. I hope it went to a good home, the old guy was a Ford enthusiast and took care of the beast:
Now that’s a blue velour interior.

Was about to say that’s not yellow... more like coffee cream brown.
